31 Weeks; 63 Days

I cannot believe we are getting down to 9 weeks left of this pregnancy. I am absolutely thrilled and yet so nervous as the days get closer. Everything is getting harder and this bump just keeps on growing! Some things that threw us for a curveball this past month: anemia and Braxton Hicks. I passed my glucose test (Hooray!) and failed my anemia scan (crap). I've always struggled with iron deficiency since I was a teen, so it wasn't much of a surprise, but annoying. I had to go for 5 different iron infusions over a course of two weeks and that was honestly not bad. It helped my energy so much and now I found a time frame that works best for me taking extra iron supplements without causing any backing up. At the same time as this was going on, I started experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. While these are 100% normal, mine were happening very frequently and became concerning to myself and my OBGYN. I checked myself into triage one afternoon to make sure it wasn't signs of preterm labor. Turns out it was a result of over exerting myself/being stressed at work. I have now been on light duty and taking lots of sit breaks so the contractions have not been an issue any longer. I also plan to stop working a little earlier than the school year is ending, just to be safe and also enjoy the remainder of my pregnancy at home. Once again, I am so grateful to the gifts and love that has been sent to Steven and I. We have begun really getting the nursery dialed in. I can't wait to be off work to go into full nesting mode! What else, what elseeee.. oh! It's going to be our birthdays this month! We are both June babies 😊 He's the 6th, I'm 11th. What a special birthday we both get to have with a present cooking up in my belly! I am enjoying and soaking up this time I have with him while it's just he and I. He's been the best partner through all of this. Making sure I'm comfortable and fed and wearing the cutest maternity clothes. What a guy. ā¤ļø I'll post some nursery updates soon. As always, we love you all and thanks for following along! Ps. Bump photos as I have grown. I can't belieeeeeeveeee it!
