5 month check in ❤️
Greetings! I’ve been away from my updates for a couple of weeks, so lets get you caught up on all the things! First off, we had our Anatomy Scan today and hit the half way mark of the pregnancy. WOW. Our baby girl is doing so so well. From head to toe, she’s about 9-10inches and weighs 12oz. A week or two ago I stopped having all pregnancy symptoms besides the obvious physical changes. This was awesome but also made me a little uneasy. I also have not felt much movement and waiting 4 weeks for my 20 week appointment was starting to make me very antsy in a horribly, anxious way. Having a miscarriage the first time around has really made it difficult to relax and feel confident that everything is going well. Last week Steven went ahead and bought me a Doppler to listen to our baby’s heart beat at home while we waited for our next appointment. Once it came in and I found that wonderful sound of her heart, whew! Instant relief. Today was even better! Not only is SHE healthy, but so am I! I started going to the gym a few days out of the week and signed myself up for a 4 week Prenatal Yoga class that takes place every Saturday. My blood pressure today was 118/72 and weighing 129 which is 4 pounds more than my last appointment. I feel wonderful and even more excited than I was before to meet our girl! We’ve started clearing out the room that will be her nursery and are so grateful to the friends and family that have already started pouring their love into us and our baby with the registry gifts! Steven also surprised me with setting me up to visit family in Texas next month during my Spring Break from work. What a guy. 💕 I hope you all enjoy these photos! You‘ll see her profile with her cute little nose! There’s one of her foot, one of her crunched up with her legs bent, a crazy one of her that looks like a Halloween photo, and it’s hard to tell but one of her lips and nose. She was spinning and drinking and kissing us while she was having her first photoshoot. I will start feeling her more in the next couple of months. I have an anterior placenta so it makes things a little harder to feel since its placed in the front of my uterus. She is having fun, nonetheless. That’s all for now! We love you aaalllllll. A note from Steven: we could clearly tell during the sonogram that she gets her dance moves from her daddy.
