Bye Bye Work!

Hey y'all! It's been a while and I know I have a lot to catch up on. Be prepared for several posts today. After I stopped working, June 13, I wanted to slow down and really settle in to my last months of pregnancy. I have also been EXTREMELY tired and nesting on and off to get the last minute baby things in order. Before I left, I got to celebrate my birthday at my job and my team surprised me with a birthday/baby shower. It was the sweetest, most thoughtful thing I could have ever imagined. I was so touched and extremely grateful since I am far from home and was not able to have one with all of you. This was so special and kind. That little bassinet of fruit was made by one of ladies on the team! They had food, cupcakes, gifts, decorations. I knew they were up to SOMETHING but I had no idea it would be this. They pitched in and got me some things I had on my registry along with a couple of other items of their own. One of my employees, Deloris, had her granddaughter knit a blanket for our daughter, and gave me a beautiful picture frame to use for our first photo with her. Another wonderful woman, Ana, gave me a purse from Mexico. The woman who made the fruit baby, Cori, also gave me a bottle of whiskey for postpartum hahaha! I felt so loved and was so happy I got to experience this. ❤️ They each made my pregnancy feel very safe while I worked with them before summer break.
